Bob Heffington founded Heffington Optical in 1975 after managing American Optical where he started as a delivery boy. Under God’s blessing, it grew to the largest manufacturing optical laboratory in Southwest Missouri by providing eyeglasses to all the local doctors. Bob’s motto is “Make the eyeglasses right, right the first time, right to the Doctor’s prescription, at the right price.”
Bob’s two sons, Mark and Gary, now run the family business with their wives Heather and Deborah at the two clinics. Heffington’s House of Vision is located at 1350 E. Woodhurst and Heffington’s Optiland is located next to the laboratory at 640 W. Chestnut.
Bryce Heffington is the third generation and an Optometrist at Heffington’s. His wife, Allie Heffington is a Registered Nurse working at Heffington’s.
